What is UI and UX design, and why is it important for any business’s online presence?

Once upon a time we called User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX), web development and web design. So why the change? It changed because it makes more sense. The anything but humble smart phone now controls most peoples days and some poor souls lives. User interface should be considered the design or look of the website or APP on any mobile phone, tablet or computer. The User Experience is how the website or APP reacts when the user is navigating through the pages and content. UI and UX is equally as important in design as it is in strategy and must be carefully considered before executing.
